Why don't we sell a Rider's Claw for iPod® Classic?

The iPod Nano, iPod Touch, and iPhone are portable music devices that have “flash memory" drives. A flash memory drive is a digital drive system with no moving parts inside. These systems can withstand the handle bar vibration associated with riding a motorcycle. The mega-gigabyte iPod® Classic has a “hard drive” systems with moving parts inside. These moving parts tend to stop moving and freeze up when exposed to anything aggressive (dropping it, mounting it on a motorcycle, etc…). It is for this reason, we do not manufacture a Rider’s Claw for these “hard drive” systems. |
